The Wellington Company
The Wellington Company are immensely proud to have developed Conservation House which was rated 9th Greenest Building in the world by Grist, and are even more delighted to be constructing a new building for Telecom in Willis Street which will ultimately achieve a rating higher than 5 star.
Neither of these achievements, in themselves, meet our standard for sustainability because it is always possible that a building later becomes unused because its location is no longer relevant. Taken in the context of a long term and well planned city, however, they do.
Telecom is in the old centre of the city and uses the habits, the infrastructure and the culture of the place – it intensifies and adds value. It is an efficient addition to an incredibly efficient city.
For our part The Wellington Company works across a range of endeavours, each of which, is an important part of the philosophy of making our work valuable on an enduring basis – we have an affordable housing initiative, a sustainable land development division, urban intensification strategy and most importantly a long term vision for Wellington.
The Wellington Company is proud to be behind the 2009 National Sustainable Business Network Awards sponsoring the Trailblazer- Large and Corporate category.
