Resene Paints crowned Sustainable Business of the Year
An unwavering commitment to sustainable business practices coupled with industry innovation has seen Resene Paints named New Zealand's Sustainable Business of the Year at the 2010 NZI National Sustainable Business Network Awards in Auckland tonight.
The Judges were particularly impressed by Resene's EcoDecorator programme, which despite its challenging audience of professional painters, was making great headway in encouraging the adoption of sustainable practices industry-wide.
Rachel Brown, chief executive of the Sustainable Business Network (SBN), was impressed with Resene's efforts to encourage sustainable innovation in the paint industry.
The Wellington-based manufacturer of quality paints, colours and coatings also took home the Trailblazer Large and Corporate award.
SBN warmly congratulates each of the winners and judges commendations and thanks everyone that took part.

NZI is one of the SBN's foundation partners and is the primary sponsor of the national awards for the third consecutive year.
Executive general manager Karl Armstrong says NZI places a lot of emphasis on sustainability, and involvement in the awards is a way to recognise and support other companies that have ranked sustainability highly on their agenda.
